The capital city of Turkey, Ankara is the second largest, with a population of some five million people.
This is the centre of governmental and diplomatic affairs, as well as the home to the Atatürk Mausoleum, the impressive structure that houses Atatürk’s tomb, as well as an extensive museum relating to the Republic of Turkey – past, present and future. Ankara has a cosmopolitan flair and offers many types of cuisine, nightlife, shopping, and education facilities. Students attending IEFT fairs are determined and informed, and seek all levels of education.
The Sheraton Ankara Hotel & Convention Centre, A Luxury Collection Hotel, is centrally located just off of Tunali Bulvari, in the high-end Kavaklidere district of Ankara. It is within walking distance to key shopping areas, restaurants, and numerous embassies. The new Convention Centre – to open September, 2005 – will be our exhibition venue. After years of using the classy ballroom facilities the Sheraton offers, we are excited about holding the IEFT event in nearly 1400 square metres of state-of-the-art conference facilities.
